Smart Charging refers to the ability to control how one’s electric vehicle charges when connected to the grid. When an electric vehicle is plugged in, the charging station communicates data (such as charging time, speed, and so on) to a centralized cloud-based management platform through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Smart charging, as opposed to traditional charging devices that aren’t cloud-connected, allows the charging station owner to remotely monitor, regulate, and restrict the use of their devices to save energy consumption.

Smart charging devices ensure that maximum charging power is used safely and efficiently. When compared to regular power outlets, this allows for far faster charging. Smart charging is much safer than traditional charging because smart devices automatically test the connection between the car and the device before commencing the charging event.

Conflicts over the increased electricity consumption can be resolved by connecting the charging device to a charging service that collects consumption data automatically. In this manner, charging expenses are charged directly to the EV owner.

EV charging balances the supply and demand for electricity by optimizing charging time. Timing can be optimized using smart charging based on the price at the local electricity market. This saves money while also benefiting the environment and the electricity grid, as electricity prices are determined by demand.

Drivers can see if a charging station is available or in use, and reserve it if necessary.

Using NLP techniques, we provide an automated way to create a knowledge graph from the texts from technician service documents. The aim is to create a model that represents the digital twin of a vehicle and to create a feedback loop to update the knowledge graph based on the actions taken by the human (technicians). Why do we need a knowledge graph with feedback loop?

With a footprint of close to 80-90 ECU’s in today’s automotive, and a multitude of trouble codes (often ambiguous), questions are being raised around the ability and effectiveness of traditional Diagnostic tools to accurately diagnose and detect the underlying cause of a given problem/defect.
